Ocali, Inc. develops and markets innovative 3D modeling software by providing powerful and easy to use technologies. Tgi3D plug-ins for SketchUp are the premier products for 3D modeling to be marketed from Ocali, Inc.'s R&D pipeline. The company was awarded TEYDEB Industrial R&D Funding Program grant by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) in 2008.

Ocali, Inc.'s Research & Development team brings in years of experience in academic research and software development in various capacities.

Ogan Ocali co-founded Ocali, Inc. in 2006 and he is the key visionary behind the innovative technologies developed by Ocali, Inc. He also co-founded Mojave Inc. start-up in 2002 in Silicon Valley, which was later acquired by Magma Design Automation, Inc. in 2004 for $140M. During and after he received his Ph.D in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University in 1995, Dr. Ocali has worked and published scholarly articles and patents in diverse areas ranging from

  • control theory, frequency planning and computer aided design in Bilkent University,
  • magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in Radiology Department of Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine
  • electronic design automation (EDA) in Avant! Corp., Synopsis, Inc., Mojave, Inc. and Magma Design Automation, Inc. in Silicon Valley.

Ali Erol is a co-founder of Ocali, Inc. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2001. Before joining Ocali Inc., Dr. Erol worked as a Research Assistant Professor in the Computer Vision Laboratory (CVL) of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). He published scholarly articles and patents in different fields of research, such as biometrics, computer vision, image processing and pattern recognition. He also has prior experience in software industry as a developer for a variety of commercial applications.

Umut Sezen is a co-founder of Ocali, Inc. He received his Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Warwick University, U.K. in 2003. He is currently an Associate Professor at Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Hacettepe University. In addition to his scholarly work in the areas of signal processing, embedded software development, information technologies, computer and network security, and image processing, Dr. Sezen has experience in commercial software development in various capacities as a developer, consultant, systems manager and IT consultant.
